The Introductory Class is for all new members of the club and must be attended once before joining regular classes. After completing this session, you'll be placed into either Puppy Class (1:00pm) or Class One (3:00pm) starting the following week.

Bringing your dog is optional—many people find it easier to focus on the information without their dog present.

In this session, we cover:

• A brief history of the club

• Class structure and general rules

• Basic training techniques and methods to use at home

• Dog behaviour, motivation, socialisation, and exercise

• Our positive reinforcement training philosophy

You’ll also receive printed information and see a demonstration of how we teach dogs to sit and be released using our five-step method.

New members are welcome every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, except for long weekends when no classes are held.

Please let us know at the clubhouse when you arrive that you're here for the new members’ class.
